Crews from Irish Water and Waterford Council are dealing with a burst water main near Dunmore East this morning.

Homes in the Fairybush, Gaultier Cross and Woodstown areas are affected.

Services should be restored by 4.30pm today.

It’s the second burst main in the area in 24 hours.

Essential works also left homes in the Stradbally, Fews and Mahon Bridge areas without water for several hours yesterday evening.

Customers are advised to run their taps if they experience discolouration when supply is restored.
