Emergency services are at the scene of a collision at Bunkers Hill in Waterford City.

The collision has occurred in the last hour and motorists are being urged to avoid the area if possible as traffic has been backed up significantly.

It's not known at this time whether or not anyone has been injured as a result of a collision.
