A bumper August Bank Holiday Weekend is continuing in Waterford with two major festivals underway.

All Together Now is underway since Thursday at Curraghmore Estate.

CMAT, London Grammar and Bicep were among the artists playing last night (Saturday).

Excitement is building for Nelly Furtado’s appearance on the main stage tonight.

Speaking to WLR, Waterford Minister, and Portlaw native, Mary Butler praised all involved with the festival.

“The traffic is flowing, the Gardaí are doing a great job. It’s  a great event and it has grown year on year,” she said.

“Every year, those that run the festival have improved the event.”

Spraoi parade and fireworks display

This year’s eagerly anticipated Spraoi parade gets underway at 9.30pm from Johnstown.

It will be followed by the popular fireworks display.

This year’s theme is ‘Quay of Dreams’ and promises to be as eclectic as ever.

Street performances are continuing across the city today.

There are a number of road closures in place to facilitate events and full details can be found here
