Four people are in Garda custody following an armed robbery in Waterford City this morning.
It happened at the Post Office in the Cleaboy at around 11.20am
Three men, one of whom was armed with a sawn off shotgun entered the Post Office and demanded money.
They escaped with a sum of cash and left the scene in a red Renault Laguna.
The car was found on fire a short time later in Carriganore.
Gardai launched a major search in the surrounding area and arrested four men in fields in Carriganore at around 12 noon.
They've been brought to Waterford Garda Station for questioning.

The Post Office in the Cleaboy remains closed this afternoon
