Dungarvan was the only local electoral area in Waterford which saw an increase in the number of cases of Covid-19 last week.
58 cases were confirmed during the two weeks ending on Monday, February 22nd, which is up from 40 a week before and is a jump of 45 per cent.
Waterford City South continues to have the highest level of the virus active in the community. There were 77 cases confirmed during that time to give an incidence rate of 342.6 per 100,000 people
Tramore/Waterford City West and Dungarvan were the only other areas that had incidence rates above the national average which was 240.4 at the time.
Elsewhere, one in every 77 people in the centre of Galway city tested positive for Covid-19 in the space of two weeks.
The local electoral area has the highest 14-day incidence rate in the country.
It was 1,292 per 100,000 people on Monday - over five times the national average.
The second-highest is Ballymun-Finglas LEA in Dublin, at 798.
