The six-year-old boy who died tragically in County Waterford yesterday has been named locally as Matthew Healy.
He was a Senior Infants pupil at Faithlegg National School.
His body was discovered in a car at Rathmoylan Cove near Dunmore East shortly after midnight on Friday morning.
A woman in her thirties was arrested at the scene and continues to be held for questioning at a Garda Station in Waterford.
Gardaí have said the results of a postmortem examination will determine the course of their investigation.
A special vigil is planned this evening (Saturday) at the Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity on Barronstrand Street, commencing at 7pm.
