Boil Water notice remains in place for Kilrossanty and Leamybrien

A Boil Water notice remains in place for the Kilrossanty and Leamybrien area of County Waterford.

It was issued by Uisce Eireann on July 29th following increased turbidity in the raw water source.

The areas involved include Kilrossanty, Leamybrien, Knockyelan and Adramone.

However, a Do Not Consume notice which was issued for the Ballyogarty supply in Kilmacthomas on the same day due to an exceedance of arsenic has now been lifted.

Uisce Eireann says compliance and operations experts are on site in the Kilrossanty area working to lift the notice in the area as quickly and as safely as possible.

"We understand the impact a Boil Water notice has on the local community and apologise for any inconvenience caused," a spokesperson said.
