Brendan Bob O’Brien has been honoured for his contributions to local charities over the past 37 years with a reception hosted by Cathaoirleach of the Dungarvan and Lismore District, Cllr. Pat Nugent this afternoon.

Brendan and his wife Marie have raised in excess of €3m for various local clubs, charities, schools, sporting bodies and societies over the years by holding quizzes and sponsored walks since 1988.

“What a fantastic contribution to our local community! A truly well-deserved honour and it was great to see Brendan and Marie surrounded by their family and friends this afternoon.”, said Fine Gael Councillor Damien Geoghegan.
