A man in his 60s has been arrested in relation to an incident in Waterford City on Wednesday last, in which a man entered the City Square Shopping Centre armed with a machete.
Gardaí in Waterford continue to investigate the robbery of a business premises that occurred in Arundel Square, Waterford on Wednesday, 10th January 2024.
One man (60s) was arrested today, Tuesday 16th January 2024 and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda station in the Eastern Region.
Gardaí continue to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact them.
Any pedestrians or road users who were in the vicinity of Arundel Square shopping district at the time of the incident and who may have camera footage (including dash cam) are asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
