Architect and television presenter Hugh Wallace has died suddenly at the age of 68.

His husband Martin shared the news on Instagram, saying he passed away at their home last night.

RTÉ’s Director General Kevin Bakhurst has paid tribute to the ‘Home of the Year’ judge and presenter of ‘The Great House Revival’, describing him as an ‘inspiring mind’.

In 2023, he spoke to Damien Tiernan on ‘Déise Today’ about new plans Waterford’s North Quays site which his company was involved in.

Earlier this year, he visited The Viking Hotel in Waterford for the launch of the hotel’s new superior rooms and spoke about the North Quays as well as other projects.
