Locals in Dungarvan have expressed concerns with anti-social behaviour issues at the town's new state of the art Skate Park.
People in the area are also concerned with the amount of litter being left behind as well as alcohol and drug use.
Parents have questioned who is responsible for the policing of the amenity - with local councillors inundated with calls as a result.
Cllr. Conor McGuinness has established a survey to engage with parents and skaters alike in how to move forward with the policing of the amenity.
Over 100 people have engaged with the survey so far and Cllr. McGuinness says it's very important that those who use the skate park itself are part of any discussions.
"These need to be taken seriously. They can't be dismissed. We are only a couple of months into this facility being opened," he said.
Conor has suggested that people who use the facility come together to compile a list of their own rules.
He's keen to stress that it is a minority responsible for the current problems.
He would like the council to take a leadership role in the situation and says he'd like to engage with An Garda Síochána and Community and Youth Services to help tackle the problem.
