An Bord Pleanala has granted planning permission for a controversial 141 hectare solar farm in Clonea Power.
An appeal was made against the decision by Waterford Council to grant conditional planning permission for the development in May 2023.
An Bord Pleanala has confirmed that it has upheld the Council’s decision in relation to BNRG’s project in the townlands of Bishopstown, Bridgetown, Ballyhest and Ballyneal.
A total of 23 conditions are detailed in the decision report.
There have been numerous public meetings in Clonea Power since plans for the 141 hectare solar farm were revealed.
Members of Clonea/Mothel Solar Farm Action Group say they will be regrouping over the coming days and plan to arrange a community meeting.
