Ambulance and garda car involved in collision on N7

An ambulance and a Garda car were among a number of vehicles involved in a collision on the N7 this evening.

The ambulance, which was travelling between Waterford and Dublin, was involved in a collision with a Garda vehicle and a van.

The ambulance was in the process of transporting an infant to Crumlin Children’s Hospital. The infant was subsequently transferred to Dublin in another ambulance.

Delays resulted following the accident which caused some damage to the ambulance, however no injuries were reported.
