Almost 2,500 homes and businesses without power across Waterford this morning

Across the country, the clean-up from Storm Isha is commencing, as high winds are beginning to ease.

Wind speeds of up to 150km/h saw fallen trees, widespread debris, and subsequent power outages across Waterford.

As of 8am this morning, the following power outages were in place, with an estimated restoration time of 6pm this evening:

  • Dunhill- 858 customers
  • Tramore- 11 customers
  • Stradbally/Kilmacthomas- 63 customers
  • Aglish and Villierstown region- 208 customers
  • Ballinameela region- 896 customers
  • Clonea- 13 customers
  • Rathgormack- 235 customers
  • Carrickbeg- 35 customers
  • Joanstown/Aughnabrone- 77 customers
  • Lismore- 14 customers

Power outages have necessitated the closure of Cappoquin Primary School and Kilbrien National School this morning.
