One person has died following light aircraft crash in Waterford

WLR News understands that one person has died as a result of a collision involving a light aircraft in County Waterford this afternoon.
The Vulcanair P68 crashed at around 12.50pm on the approach to Waterford Airport near Lisselan on the R685.
The R685 is partially closed and motorists are advised to use alternative routes.
The Air Accident Investigation Unit said it has been notified of a crash involving a twin-engined aircraft in Co Waterford.
“The AAIU is deploying a team of four inspectors of air accidents to the crash site to commence an investigation,” it said.
