A newly formed non-profit will be working with young people in Waterford to try fill the gap in mental health services locally.

‘Laochas – the Warrior Soul Project’ is the creation of a number of local educators and artists.

It aims to educate children and young people through interactive workshops, and will include play and music therapists, drama teachers, youth workers and a qualified counsellor.

The group will start working with schools in the coming weeks but is also fundraising through its Facebook page.
