A major new residential development has been announced for the Cul Dara area of Ballygunner, Waterford City, featuring a mix of housing types and community facilities.

The plans include the construction of a two-storey crèche and 95 new homes. The housing mix comprises 18 semi-detached, three-bedroom houses; 37 terraced and end-of-terrace, three-bedroom houses; and 8 two-bedroom terraced houses.

The plans are similar to previous applications submitted by the applicant, Liam Neville Developments; however, these applications were granted conditional planning permission or withdrawn.

In addition, four two-storey apartment blocks will each contain a combination of two-bedroom and three-bedroom units. A separate three-storey duplex block will include a mix of two-bedroom duplexes and one-bedroom apartments.

The development will be accessed via the existing Cul Dara access road, including public open spaces, 110 car parking spaces, cycle parking, and all associated site works and infrastructure.

The project aims to meet the growing demand for family housing in the area while providing modern amenities and improved community services.
