An artist who has sold over two million singles and has had 800 million worldwide streams will headline Daytripper tonight.

Dubliner Gavin James will take to the stage at the Waterside in Waterford City.

Hudson Taylor who featured on the main stage at Electric Picnic are the main support act.

Brave Giant, an Indie Folk Quartet from Longford, will make their Waterford debut and Saarloos, which were the most streamed new Irish band of 2018 on Spotify, are also on the bill.

The three day festival on the Waterside in Waterford City got underway last night with DJ Jenny Greene and the RTE Orchestra.

Reports from the first evening were overwhelmingly positive.

Those wanting to keep an eye on the Champions League final will also be catered for.
