The man who died following a road traffic collision outside Dungarvan last night has been named as 59 year old Michael Wright from Congress Villas.

The collision happened at approximately 8.15pm at Killos-sera.

Mr Wright was pronounced dead at the scene.

The male driver of the truck was uninjured.

Garda forensic collision investigators are examining the crash site at the moment.

The road is currently closed and traffic diversions are in place. The road is expected to be closed up to and beyond lunchtime.

Investigating Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward. Mr. Wright was walking his dog, he was wearing a hi vis jacked and had a walking stick
with him.
