A picture of a young Waterford man who was killed during World War One has been created on Tramore Beach.

Second Lieutenant James Robert Love from Tramore died in August 1917 at the age of 21.

His portrait has been created in the sand by The Art Hand to remember the sacrifice by so many during the war.

It should be visible from the Prom until 2.30pm before it’s reclaimed by the rising tide.
