Over 77,000 people have been vaccinated for Covid-19 as of yesterday.
4,000 people have been trained to issue vaccines in anticipation of a further roll-out of the vaccination programme.
The Health Minister expects 700,000 people to be vaccinated between now and the end of March.
Today in Waterford, residents and staff at the Holy Ghost Residential Home on the Cork Road in Waterford and Mowlam Nursing Home on the Dunmore Road are being vaccinated by the HSE/South East Community Healthcare team.
Yesterday staff and residents at Carechoice Nursing Home in Dungarvan were inoculated.
The news comes after the Tánaiste Leo Varadkar has said they will be able to vaccinate 100,000 people a week once the AstraZeneca vaccine is approved at the end of this month.
