30th Annual Helvic Swim cancelled amid Weather Alert

The 30th annual Helvic Swim in Dungarvan has been cancelled due to poor weather conditions. Organisers made the decision early this morning after Met Éireann issued a Yellow Small Craft Warning, which will remain in place until midnight on Monday.
The popular open-water event was set to take place this weekend, with swimmers raising funds for the Helvic RNLI.
Despite the cancellation, organisers are encouraging people to continue donating to the RNLI, which relies on public support for its lifesaving work.
Organisers of the event confirmed to WLR this morning that a new date has not yet been set for the annual event.
