The Town and Village Renewal Scheme continues to support sustainable development across rural Ireland.
The Waterford Town and Village Renewal Scheme funding will help towns attract visitors, support businesses, and strengthen communities.
The projects will move forward in partnership with local groups and Waterford City and County Council.
Welcoming the funding annoucement, Waterford TD, Government Chief Whip and Minister of State with responsibility for Mental Health, Mary Butler said:
“The Waterford Town and Village Renewal Scheme continues to have a hugely positive impact in Ireland’s rural towns and villages, and today’s investment will further strengthen this work. We will continue to roll-out investment in rural Ireland – making Waterford towns and villages better places to live, work, raise a family and run a business. Christmas has come early for all these community organisations, who are doing meaningful work on the ground every day of the week. Great credit is due to the people who put the work into the application process. It is their diligence and effort which has ensured meaningful projects in their town are awarded the funding necessary to enhance their locality”.
