Lily-May O'Regan is Waterford's first 2021 baby.
She was born in University Hospital Waterford this morning at 39 minutes past two.
Her parents Rachael Bradley and Danny O'Regan (pictured left with Lily-May) are both from the city and work together at Cartamundi.
Both mother and baby are doing well according to the family. Lily- May came into the world weighing 7lbs 11oz and will be greeted at home by big brother Charlie (age three).
Meanwhile, Ireland's first 2021 baby was born just seconds after midnight in County Dublin.
Brody McWilliams Browne was the first arrival of the new year, to parents Jennifer and Eric.
His mother Jennifer McWilliams said she didn’t realise her baby would be among the first of 2021. “I had no clue until I was induced. We didn’t actually think he was going to be the first,” she laughed.
