The latest CSO census stats on commuting are out revealing increases in car, rail, bus and bike usage amongst workers between 2011 and 2016.

Staying with walking - it is the most popular choice for just over a quarter of third level students, with just under a quarter taking the bus followed by those who drive to college.
Commuter numbers for both workers and students totalled almost 3 million in April 2016 - an increase of 9.3 per cent on the 2011 figure and an increase of 62 per cent over the 30 year period since 1986.
