Gardai in Waterford recovered drugs worth over eleven thousand euro in the early hours of this morning.
The Waterford Drugs Unit were on mobile patrol in the Lismore Park area of Waterford City just after midnight and observed a male acting suspiciously.
He was spoken to and was searched and Gardai was searched in accordance with section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act 1977/16.
Gardai discovered a small bag of cannabis in his pocket.
In a further search 145 grams of cocaine was found in a large bag, valued at €10,150 and ketamine which weighed 26 grams, and is valued at €1560 was also discovered.
The 24 year old, was arrested at 00.45 am on Skibereen Road, Waterford for the offence of section 15 Misuse of Drugs Act 1977/16.
He was detained at Waterford Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 Criminal Justice Act 1984 at 01.14 pm where he remains in custody.
