11 Covid-19 deaths recorded in Waterford since the outbreak began

11 people with Covid-19 have died in Waterford since the outbreak began in March last year.

According to the Central Statistics Office, 5 of those deaths happened last week, the week ending Friday, the 8th of January.

There were also deaths linked to the virus during the previous two weeks however, there were fewer than 5 deaths recorded each week. For confidentiality reasons the CSO doesn't release the figure when it's 4 or lower.

The last time a person in Waterford died from Covid-19 was at the start of June.

The median age of the 11 people who died was 80.
