Following on from the success of its Schools’ Open Day yesterday, Waterford Institute of Technology are holding a second open day at the WIT Arena today.
Yesterdau 2,500 students from 42 schools were booked into the open day; and hundreds more attended in an individual capacity.
Today runs until 2pm is popular with people interested in upskilling and re-skilling through a wide range of postgraduate, part-time, and Springboard courses including flexible learning options and online courses. It includes specialist talks on fees and grants, part-time courses, going from PLC to WIT and on common entry courses. Staffa and students will be there on stands to ask questions.
The Open Day at the WIT Arena is also ideal for families of local Leaving Cert students wishing to get as much course and college-related research done as early as possible in sixth year.
WIT Registrar Dr Derek O’Byrne says: “A trend we are seeing at WIT Open Days is that students who may have enjoyed the Schools Open day with their friends and school groups, will return the following day with their parents or guardians.”
