The number of Covid cases linked to travel has doubled in the last month to around 10%
The HSE says it's seeing a rise in people testing positive who've returned from popular holiday destinations.
HSE National Lead for Testing and Tracing, Niamh O'Beirne, says international travel is already leading to more cases here:
"It's been an increasing number over the past few weeks - certainly since June.
"We are seeing an increased number of people with a travel history over the past 14 days particularly from some of the holiday locations in Europe and we have 10% of cases that have a holiday history," she said.
The EU digital Covid cert goes live tomorrow for vaccinated passengers, those who have tested negative or anyone who has had the virus.
