Eddie Mulligan - Fianna Fáil
I will influence a society where economic and personal well-being are connected, where people have a chance to achieve their full potential.
Eddie Mulligan - Believe in Waterford
As a Councillor I have worked across and serviced just about every sector of our community: agriculture, arts, business, policing, culture, education, festivals, environment, fisheries, health, housing, migrants, sport and tourism.
I have demonstrated a capacity to listen, learn, act and deliver. Representing your interests in these areas has convinced me of our abilities to create wealth, foster well being and build a sustainable society – but only if we unlock National resources.
Allow me to listen, learn, act and challenge to deliver for you Nationally. Together we will honour Waterford’s ambitions, principles and values.
I have three key focuses going forward:
ECONOMY
To ensure our prosperity and secure our children’s futures government must release an equitable share of National resources to Waterford. With this investment we will re-build our economy not only for financial gain, but to enhance our environment and create a society that is fair and just.
● Reducing Unemployment
● Attracting Investment
● Increasing Median Household Income
● Advancing the North Quays
WELL-BEING
Health and education services are cornerstones of well-being in society. So are the arts, sport, policing and the environment. Waterford’s future potential can only be achieved by empowering it's people to feel a sense of well-being in mind and body. Empowering clinicians, educators, artists, sports-people and environmentalists is key to Waterford’s people being prepared for an optimistic future.

SOCIETY
Waterford rightly prides itself on a strong sense of community. But, global economic and environmental forces are testing our social solidarity. We can sustain our society through the simple concept of people working together and giving a little to gain a lot. Our values as a society will be a legacy to our children.
