Waterford singer-songwriter Moncrieff has toppled Sabrina Carpenter off the #1 position in the Official Irish Album Charts with his debut album ‘Maybe It’s Fine’ 

Moncrieff said;

Writing these words down doesn’t feel real. We’ve made it to #1 in the album charts in Ireland! I’m still processing and probably won’t have the words for another couple of days to express how I’m feeling but for now I just wanna say thank you.

I started this mailing list less than a year ago, and it’s been you guys that have made the difference in getting us here. For coming to these shows, for every stream, vinyl/CD, and the support you’ve given me over the last few years,  I’ll always be grateful.

I didn’t start making music for number ones.

I started making music to try to figure out what was going on in my head. But the connection between the music and the people that have supported it is what’s got us to a #1 record. And that’s a fucking beautiful thing.
