The Waterford International Film Festival has made it into the Top 100 Best Reviewed Festivals on a website called Film Freeway.
Film Freeway is the world's number one way to discover, submit, and get tickets to thousands of film festivals and screenplay, music, and photography contests all over the globe.
The Waterford International Film Festival found its place in the Top 100 Best Reviewed Festivals and according to reviews from the website users, the festival ranks in the top 1% of over 12,000 other film festivals and creative contests in the world.
This is not the first bit of good news the Film Festival has received this year. In July, it was awarded with a Remarkable Arts Festival EFFE Label by the European Festival Association.
The Label is Europe's quality mark for remarkable arts festivals showing their engagement in the field of arts, community involvement, and international openness. To read more about that, click here.
Submissions for Short Films, Short Scripts, and Creative Photographs are now open, with the deadline being August 14th.
Submissions for the Photography Contest are also open and the deadline for that category is the 9th of September.
This year's festival will take place both online and in person from the 21st to the 27th of November.
Physical screenings will be taking place in the ODEON Cinema in Waterford City.
