DIY SOS: The Big Build Ireland will feature a Waterford family in its fourth and final episode of the series this weekend.
The show, headed up by Baz Ashmawy, aims to rebuild people's lives by rebuilding their homes.
In Sunday's episode the team are in Waterford City, at the home of Laura Sheridan, a nurse from Comeragh Park.
Laura, a former Nurse of the Year and Nursing Home Manager battled Covid, before being diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a form of cancer that affects the immune system. Furthermore, Laura’s twin boys were also found to have a form of autism which requires constant supervision and care.
The DIY SOS team filmed at Laura's home during the winter and you can watch how it all unfolds as Baz and the volunteers endeavour to make her home happy and secure.
The programme airs this Sunday, April 24th, at 6.30pm.
Baz Ashmawy is joined again in the series by designers Aoife Rhattigan of Restless.Design, Kerry Hiddleston of Hiddleston Interior Design, garden designer Peter Donegan, and Helena Ryan, health and safety officer.
The build team is led by Liam Flynn and Anthony Darby from Collen Construction and specialist carpenters Dan Kenny and Nicky McMahon. They are joined on the show by a team of volunteers as well as local builders and suppliers.
