A Waterford artist has released prints of his Sinead O'Connor tribute for free, asking only that donations be made in lieu to Amnesty International.
The public can purchase reproductions of a piece of art by a well-known artist that is dedicated to the late Sinéad O'Connor for a donation of their liking to a rights-based group.
The song title "Nothing Compares to You" can be read along the sand in an aerial picture of a sand sculpture by Seán Corcoran that was published online by The Art Hand on July 27.
The sand sculpture was constructed the day after Sinéad O'Connor, one of Ireland's most well-known activists and icons, passed away.
The work's accomplished creator, Seán Corcoran, decided less than a week later, that his creation should be available to those who share an appreciation of Sinéad O'Connor.
In an act of kindness, Seán decided to make high-resolution reproductions of the image he had taken from above of his sand painting homage, in return for a donation to the human rights organization, Amnesty International.
Sean can be contacted at [email protected] for more details on the prints, including sizes, borders, and frames.
The public can go to the website, www.amnesty.ie, to place their donations.
