The Premier County has been singled out as one to visit in the widely read Conde Nast Traveller magazine.
The travel publication reports that Tipperary will be one of the top five locations in the world for foodies.
The Munster county has been chosen as part of the publication's '22 holiday destinations for 2022,' along with Birmingham and Jersey in the UK, Serbia, and Bend, Oregon in the United States.
Tipperary is the only Irish destination to be listed by Conde Nast Traveller, with the publication predicting there will be "a raft of enticing new experiences and openings" in the county in 2022:
2022 should see guests pump the breaks, as there is much more to enjoy in this cosy, characterful county, from local artisans and family-run woollen mills, to craft distilleries and ancient cave formations.
The article went onto list some upcoming offerings in Tipperary, including Relais & Chateaux opening a premises in Cashel, and Cashel Palace, a hotel and spa coming to the historic town.
"Walk it all off along the blustery shoreline of Lough Derg, where you’ll be joined by kayakers, paddleboarders and cyclists whizzing alongside acres of cheerful wildflower meadows," the piece added.
