Public voting is now open for WLR's Local Hero Search!

Local Hero Search as part of Irish Music Month

Over the past number of weeks, over 30 original artists from Waterford submitted tracks for WLR's Local Hero Search, which is all part Irish Music Month.

The initiative is run across a number of radio stations including WLR, in association with XL Retail Group, the Independent Broadcasters of Ireland the BAI Sound and Vision Fund and music publication Hot Press.

Our judging panel had a very hard task to whittle the entries down to five. Each of the acts recorded live versions of their entries, to be judged by a panel of three. The panel comprises Ollie Carroll (WLR’s Spin Home) local musician Michelle Haberlin and You! Public voting is now underway. You can vote below...
