A group advocating for a theatre in Tramore will hold a public meeting in the town this evening.
"Theatre for Tramore Campaign" is a newly formed group. It has been highlighting the need to better serve the performing arts community in the seaside locality.
James Power from Stagemad Theatre Company, who's involved in the campaign, says he hopes people from Tramore will come along and give their input.
He told WLR there was a "massive response" to their campaign online and in the local media, which prompted organising the meeting:
We'll be looking for people to suggest potential sites and to give an input into progressing things further... it makes me sad to see, you go to other towns in Ireland and there's a theatre, maybe two or three
The meeting will take place upstairs in The Vic pub at 7.30pm.
