Earlier this year, Vinny and Aoibhin from the Big Breakfast Blaa asked Milis, a Dunmore East based company, to create the scent of Waterford with the help of WLR listeners!
We know what Waterford looks like (and it's pretty beautiful!), we know what it tastes like (courtesy of our great food producers), and we know the sound of The Déise, thanks to all our great musicians.
But, what does Waterford smell like? This is the question Vinny and Aoibhin posed to listeners and after many, many texts and messages on social media, we revealed what scents would be included in the as-yet-unnamed candle! In April, Fiona confirmed the scents would include sea salt, sea breeze, wildflowers and gorse - representing Waterford's famous coastline as well as the county's beautiful mountain areas.
After weeks of experimentation, Fiona handed Vinny and Aoibhin what she believes is THE candle! And there was much excitement in studio when the Big Breakfast Blaa presenters finally got to experience the scent for themselves. Have a listen! And stay tuned to WLR for more info including the name and when you can get your hands on one for yourself!
