The 2024 Christmas Appeal Concerts from, Dungarvan, Waterford City and Tramore raised a combined total of €12,279 for the WLR Christmas Appeal with all the monies staying locally within St Vincent de Paul
Dungarvan Christmas Concert
On Wednesday 4th December the 2024 Dungarvan Christmas Concert returned to The Friary Church in Dungarvan. Featuring: Dungarvan Brass Band, Voiceover Choir, Friary Choir, Cór Fear Na Déise, Harmony Children’s Choir, Music Generation Waterford and Special Guest, Sara Lou.
Compere for the evening was The Big Breakfast Blaa's, Oliver Carroll.
The concert was a free event however the crowds donated €3,155 to the bucket collection in aid of St Vincent De Paul.
The Little Stars Concert
The Little Stars concert returned to the beautiful Sacred Heart Church on The Folly in Waterford on Monday 9th of December as part of the WLR Christmas Appeal in aid of St Vincent de Paul.
Featuring on the night were the De La Salle College Senior Choir, St. Mary's Ballygunner National School Choir, St Ursula’s Primary School Choir, Waterpark National School and Scoil Lorcain Boys National School. The Compere for the evening was WLR's Big Breakfast Blaa presenter Dymphna Nugent.
This was a ticketed event and raised a total of €5,108
Tramore Christmas Concert
The Tramore Christmas Concert returned to The Holy Cross Church on Tuesday, December 10th from 7 pm as part of the WLR Christmas Appeal in aid of St. Vincent De Paul.
This magical night of Christmas music featured Waterford Soprano, Caroline Reid O’Brien, Sínó and choirs from Holy Cross N.S., Ardscoil Na Mara, and the Gaelscoil.
€4,016 was raised on the night from bucket collections.
