Electric Picnic is back after a three year hiatus and the line up includes Dermot Kennedy, Picture This, Snow Patrol and Arctic Monkeys, organisers have confirmed.

The festival of music and arts, Ireland's biggest, will take place at its usual venue of Stradbally County Laois, from September 2nd to 4th.

Other big names confirmed for this year's  festival are  Australian psych-rockers Tame Impala, US rapper Megan Thee Stallion, as well as Dublin outfit Fontaines D.C. and US alt-rock legends Pixies.

Arts and culture at Electric Picnic

Other aspects of the festival include Mind & Body, science and technology stage MindField, and The Leviathan Stage which organisers say "will amplify grassroots political activism and critical thinking with entertaining and informative debates and workshops on issues vital to this young generation".

The Ah, Hear! Podcast stage returns as well as the The Hip Hop, Beats and Rhymes stage of slam poetry, grime, hip hop and performance.

An Puball Gaeilge will also be "ar ais arís with a colourful clár of podchraoladh beo, díospóreachtaí, ceoil, caint agus craic."

Elsewhere, get lost in Fish Town, Electric Picnic’s carnival town, steeped in the folklore of its proprietor - Jerry Fish - and inspired by a love of theatrical tall tales, circus culture and amazing music.

Alongside a new harbour enclosure for Salty Dog, there will be a Trailer Park and and Berlinhaus. 

Camping

A new zone, the Silver Campsite offers hot showers, complimentary charging, pamper stations, a fully managed reception and onsite team and close access to your car.

Tickets

Tickets for Electric Picnic go on sale tomorrow, Friday March 11th at 9am, with weekend camping and family camping passes available.
