Bridgerton, the bodice ripping show that got pulses racing during Christmas 2020, returns for a second season today.
Earlier this year, Netflix and Shondaland dropped eight new photos teasing what many of the characters will be up to in Season 2, when it's released to the streaming giant from today, March 25th.
Season 1 focused on the heated love affair between the Duke (Regé Jean Page) and Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor). In keeping with the Julia Quinn novels of the same name, the second installment tells the story of Lord Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) and his quest for love.
Waterford's Jamie Beamish delighted in Season 1
Sadly we won't get to see Jamie in the new season. His character, the dastardly Nigel Berbrooke, was banished at the end of Season 1 for his aggressive pursuit of Daphne, and for other very ungentlemanly carry on. It's hoped he'll make a return at some point again in Bridgerton's future, though. Meanwhile, Fans were delighted to learn that Nichola Coughlan of Derry Girls makes a return as the divisive Penelope Featherington.
