Waterford City Parade
Time: 1pm
Starting point: The bus station on the Quay.
Route: From the bus station on the Quay, towards Reginald's Tower and along The Mall towards the Bishop's Palace.
Best places to watch: There will be a dedicated viewing platform on The Mall.
Theme: The 2018 St. Patrick's Day Parade in Waterford is themed 'Our Viking Heritage'.
Any other info: The parade festivities kick off with a dance performance from Higgins Academy of Irish Dance at the viewing stand on The Mall at 12.30pm. The parade will then officially begin on The Quay at 1pm with over 60 colourful entries taking part. WLR's Geoff Harris will be live from the Mall with Mary O'Neill and Ollie Carroll from The Big Breakfast Blaa MCing the parade. The lead band this year will be Waterford’s own Barrack Street Concert Band. The Grand Marshal this year will be Her Excellency Else Berit Eikeland, Ambassador of Norway to Ireland.
Following the parade there will be the festive fun and music in John Roberts Square featuring Hack the Bone and traditional Irish music from Cuisle.

Tramore Parade
Time: 3pm
Starting point: Priest’s Road Car Park.
Route: The parade will begin at Summerhill, moving down on to Main Street, across on to Broad Street, down Gallwey’s Hill, along Turkey Road and will finish on Lower Branch Road.
Best places to watch: Anywhere along the route.
Theme: Pirates and Mermaids
Any other info: 2018 sees a new concept to the ever-popular Tramore St Patrick’s Day Parade. This year the Parade will have a theme to it called “Pirates and Mermaids”. Floats and Walking groups are asked to bring plenty of colour to their entries and dress up as Pirates or Mermaids for this year’s event.
The organising Committee is proud to take Tramore to the stage as one of the best local parades in the Country. Support from local Community Groups and Businesses in Tramore is imperative in order to maintain the quality and substance of the parade.
Participants are advised to be in position no later than 2.30pm.
Entertainment will be provided before the parade at Priest’s Road Car Park from 1.30pm and at the Reviewing stand by local Traditional band “Boxty” from 2pm.
Portlaw Parade
Time: 12pm
Participants meeting point: Walkers at the Church car park. Floats and machinery assemble from Coffey's corner back towards Portlaw AFC.
Route starting point: Coffey's Corner.
Best places to watch: Anywhere along the route.
Any other info: It's asked that all groups registered to participate, confirm their participation with Declan Clune (086 0555007). The organisers are also looking for volunteers, if you can spare an hour or two to help out on the day.
Cappoquin Parade
Time: 12.30pm
Route: Commencing at Lower Main Street and continuing up the main street before turning at Shanbally and returning to the town centre.
Best places to watch the parade: All along the route provides a fantastic vantage point but the square will be the focal point for the event
Where to park: Cappoquin GAA field.
Any other info: It's all about the fun factor on the day and you never know what to expect but there will be plenty of surprises and entertaining entries. Traffic and parking restrictions will be in operation from early morning and co-operation in this will be greatly appreciated.
Dungarvan Parade
Time: 3pm
Route: Starting at Crotty's Corner, going along the Causeway, through Grattan Square, up O'Connell Street and finishing on Wolfe Tone Road.
Best places to watch the parade: Along the route and from the reviewing stand in Grattan Square.
Where to park: Dungarvan Shopping Centre, Scanlan's Yard or no the outskirts of town along the bypass.
Any other info: As part of the weekend celebrations, there will be fireworks at 9pm on Friday night from the Quayside with live music and entertainment from 8.30pm. The parade route will be closed to traffic from 1.30pm to 6pm on Saturday (will possibly reopen earlier).
