Actress Naya Rivera, who is best know for playing Santana Lopez in hit musical show Glee, has gone missing following a boat trip with her 4 year old son.
Rivera had rented a boat to go swimming in Lake Piru with her son, however the child was reportedly discovered asleep in the boat, floating alone on the lake and his mother is missing.
Rivera played Santana on the hit show Glee which has been plagued with tragedy and sadness.
In 2018 her co-star and ex-boyfriend Mark Salling killed himself weeks before he was due to be sentenced for child pornography possession.
In 2013 Glee co-star Corey Monteith died from a drug overdose while they were still filming the show. His partner Lea Michelle, who played Rachel on the show, has since been accused of bullying by a co-star.
This is the latest tragedy to hit the show and it was announced earlier by the Ventura County Sheriffs Department.

According to Ventura County Sheriff Capt. Eric Buschow the boy got back onto the boat after a swim but his mother did not follow. “We’re going on the belief that she did go in the water and we have not been able to locate her. So this may well be a case of drowning,” Buschow told reporters.
The 4-year-old was found sleeping on the boat by himself by other boaters in the lake.
