On Friday, 23rd of February, the annual Waterford Business Awards will take place in Faithlegg House Hotel in association with Waterford Chamber, WLR and Waterford City and County Council , celebrating the best in Waterford business across 10 categories. In each category, 3 local businesses are shortlisted, and every day on WLR in the lead up to the gala awards ceremony, we’ll be putting the spotlight on a different awards category:

THE BOOK CENTRE
The Book Centre has been a locally owned family run business in Waterford for the past 44 years, under the Ryan family who have been in business in Waterford since 1798. The jewel in the crown of John Robert’s Square, it is widely acknowledged for supporting the local community. HAVENWOOD RETIREMENT VILLAGE
HavenWood Retirement Village was founded in 2005 by Dublin native Padraig Dolan when he partnered with a development company to design, build and develop the first retirement village in Waterford city. HavenWood opened its doors to residents in early 2007 with 17 staff and today there are 77 staff employed at the Ballygunner facility. Twelve years on from opening the doors, HavenWood has earned an unrivalled reputation for providing exceptional care to residents in the nursing home and assisted living homes in Ballygunner.

Momo is a multi-award winning restaurant and a firm favourite on the Waterford cuisine trail. Featuring fresh and healthy cuisine that celebrates the local food producers of Waterford, Momo present dishes rich in flavour and finesse in a relaxed and casual atmosphere. The winner will be announced at a gala ceremony in Faithlegg House Hotel & Golf Club on Friday, 23rd Feb with Waterford Chamber of Commerce.
