Joan Clancy was the press officer for the Helvic based RNLI and she has decided to step down from the role after 20 years.
Joan was one of the founding members of the Helvic Head swim which raises funds for the local lifeboat.
She also runs an art gallery in An Rinn and she says she is stepping down to concentrate on "other irons in the fire".
