Visits to resume to Waterford Nursing Homes - Deise today Friday 12th June

From Monday next people will be able to visit their loved ones in Nursing Homes for the first time since lockdown began. There will however be strict guidelines surrounding these visits. Mary Burke, manager of Killure Bridge Nursing Home in Waterford, tells Damien what visitors should expect.

Penneys re-opened in Waterford earlier this morning. Damien went along to speak to some of those in the queue, some who had been there since 5am to buy socks.

Kerina Foran, senior child and family support network coordinator with Tusla, explains how they have been supporting families during lockdown as the Gardaí reveal a large increase in the number of domestic abuse cases reported.

And Sarah O Callaghan tells Damien about the issue of Magpies in Ballinamult.

Today's nominee in Waterford's Greatest Sporting Hero is former Manchester United and Republic of Ireland soccer player John O Shea.

Lisa Curran, who is a social care practitioner, tells Damien that care assistants are paid way too little for the work that they do.

Claire Moriarty and Anne-Marie Drohan from Waterford Credit Union tell Damien how they have fared during the Pandemic.
