1. €110.6m funding announced for North Quays
Waterford Council today confirmed the allocation of €80,600,000 Urban Regeneration Development Funding and €30,000,000 National Transport Authority funding which secures the North Quays Strategic Development Zone key infrastructural developments. There was wide welcome for the news across all areas of Waterford.

3. Tanaiste faces vote of no confidence
The Dail is continuing to hear arguments from both sides after Sinn Fein tabled a vote of no confidence in Tanaiste Leo Varadkar. It comes after Leo Varadkar admitted that he gave a copy of a contract negotiated between the Government and the Irish Medical Organisation to rival GP group, the National Association of General Practitioners, in April last year. Meanwhile the Taoiseach had to leave the chamber abruptly during the discussion to take a phone call, believed to be from US president elect Joe Biden.

4. Status yellow rain warning for Waterford tonight
Met Éireann is forecasting up to 50mm of rain with flooding in places, reduced visibility and hazardous driving conditions from 6pm this evening.
5. Science week events across Waterford
Science week runs from November 8th to 15th with a number of events across Waterford. The South East Science Festival is running online through CALMAST's website, calmast.ie.
