1. North Quays site transferred to Falcon Real Estate
Waterford councillors have voted to transfer sites at the North Quays and Michael Street to developer Falcon Real Estate. They’ve decided to transfer the land titles for €9 million euro.
2.Covid-19 cases beginning to rise again in Waterford
27 cases have been confirmed in Waterford over the last three days. That’s more than all of last week. NPHET announced 8 new cases in Waterford yesterday evening. It means the 14-day incidence rate here has increased to 78.3. The national total is 79.5.
3. Government may prioritise some teenagers for Covid vaccine
The Government is to consider prioritising teenagers who have underlying health conditions to receive the Covid-19 vaccine, the Dáil has been told. Tánaiste Leo Varadkar said older teenagers who have underlying health conditions may be in the high-risk group.
4. Stephen Bennett secures GPA Player of the Month Award
Bennett was the star for the Déise as they came from behind to beat Kilkenny and set up an All-Ireland final meeting with Limerick this Sunday at Croke Park, scoring 1-10 in the semi-final. The awards are voted for by GPA membership.
