1. Astra Zenaca jab is cleared but Ireland will get less doses

The EU’s medicines regulator has granted authorisation for the use of the Oxford-AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine. However Ireland will receive 300,000 fewer doses in the first three months of this year due to supply issues.

2. Gardaí have issued over 2,400 €100 fines for non-essential travel

The fines have been issued by gardaí to people who left their homes without a reasonable excuse. 16 fines were issued yesterday to organisers and attendees at house parties in locations such as Limerick, Cork, Galway, and Kilkenny/Carlow.

3. Funding needed for the TUSE to be successful is not yet on the table

That's according to Waterford TD David Cullinane. It comes following concerns that the headquarters of the new institute may be located in Kilkenny. That issue has been "parked for now" according to Minister Simon Harris who said TUSEI was not just for Waterford or for Carlow but also for Wexford, Kilkenny, Wicklow, Laois and Kildare.

4. Salvage operation of sunken fishing vessel in Waterford Estuary

A salvage operation is taking place today to recover Aztec, the Co Cork fishing vessel which sank earlier this month in the Waterford Estuary near Duncannon, Co Wexford.

5. Maria McCann reviews "It's A Sin" on Channel 4

The five-part drama follows the lives of a group of young gay men who move to London in the 1980s, just when the AIDS crisis is beginning to take hold. The drama was created by Russell T Davies, who brought us Dr Who, Years and Years and the groundbreaking Queer as Folk. Listen back here.

6. Cast of "The Crown" dance to Lizzo song

Gillian Anderson has said a clip, which was played during Anderson’s appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, was “never meant to see the light of day". It shows nearly the entire cast of the popular Netflix series, swinging their hips and sliding across the floor as they dance to Lizzo’s feel good tune while in costume for a funeral scene in The Crown.
