TD David Cullinane Deletes Tweet After Criticism - Deise Today Tuesday 11th August

Waterford Sinn Fein TD David Cullinane came in for heavy criticism online yesterday for a tweet he posted about Tainiste Leo Varadkar and a photo opportunity in a shoe store. Following the criticism Deputy Cullinane removed the tweet. On the show today we discuss the power of social media and how it can be used by politicians to their advantage but how it can also backfire. Maria chats to Terri Prone managing director of the Communications Clinic.

Chairman of the Waterford Business Group Michael Garland is in studio to discuss the possible pedestrianisation of Waterford city centre. Recent plans to temporarily pedestrianise the Apple Market failed after pushback from residents and retailers.
